I’m David Nikel, a British travel writer living and working in Norway. I write articles about all aspects of life in Scandinavia and the cruise travel industry for the world’s media.

My travel writing journey began when I moved to Norway in 2011. I started publishing my own blogs about life in Norway and writing stories about the country for the world’s media.
In 2013, I quit my job to write full-time. In 2017, I researched and wrote the first edition of travel guidebook ‘Moon Norway’, published by Avalon Travel, now part of Hachette.
In 2023, I began speaking on cruise ships about Norway.
